To all of you under the 17-state "heat dome," I offer these "garden" reminders of our February 2nd blizzard...and I send gratitude that I live in a place that mostly (ah, the utility companies) has the infrastructure so I can sleep tonight under the hum of AC.

I barely walked outside the entire day. Too hot to breathe out there. Just hoping we get some rain soon.
Yup, yucky! At least you have a lovely view out your windows into your fabulous garden.
The combo of this extreme heat, lack of rain and the transformation wrought by the Pear Tree's demise means my front garden space is frying..
